Camouflaged Help

A recent commercial for Capilano University, “No One Does It Alone,” was all about demonstrating each faculty’s hidden help. The creative brief was to showcase the five faculty chosen by the client, each represented with the brand colours: Blue for Business, Orange for Kinesiology, Teal for Chemistry, Green for Outdoor Recreation and Red for 3D Animation. Lucy constructed five custom wood panels of set flats to project each faculty’s colour scheme seamlessly and sourced all the props necessary to create the scenes in the brief. With the help from a local interior design shop like Vancouver Special and each faculty pulling all the forces together, the commercial successfully came out in delivering the concept of helpers camouflaging into the monogrammatic background, getting the brand message across that Capilano University is “always supporting.”
